Oh Tom, why did you have to get the crazies?

Ok, it's official Tom Cruise is nuts. I know by the time I'm posting this, the "tom cruise is crazy" bandwagon has turned from a regular meme in the blog world to a full-on real life riot complete with looting and pillaging.

Well, from a guy that used to admire obsess over his hair, the dood has turned officially nutz (with a z!). Although, I think that its sweet that he's now "in-love" and I use quotes because it still could be a publicity stunt for all I know; he needs to take some lessons from the public display of affection and craziness school. Now I'm hearing rumors that Scarlett Johansson is being replaced with Katie Holmes in the up and coming Mission Impossible 3?! This, in my opinion, is the final stroke of the crazies that I'm willing to endure from him. Has he seen Lost in Translation? You could have a movie that completely revolves on Scarlett's ass and it would make more money than Eyes Wide Shut, The Firm and Vanilla Sky combined!

so there i was...

at the border, bringing home $600 bucks worth of goods. i calmly and smoothly out talked the border guard making him think he had the upper hand and completely incontrol of the situation. he asked about my purchases. i answered with a cool composure that would make [insert cool guy here] jealous. he gave his duty some thought for a moment and waved his finger to usher me forward.

unfortunately, it really didn't happen that way. not even remotely close.

see, when you go to the states for a day trip you're not even allowed to bring any products back without getting taxed. that means that you're limit is $0. i, on the otherhand, chose to purchase over $200 dollars in miscellaneous junk and clothes. actually let me list it down for you: a watch, a shirt (x6), shoes, slippers, and a complete eco system (no joke).

once at the border, the usual ritchie-at-the-border charm kicked in and eventually resulted in a tax slip which needed to be walked over to the register and 75 dollars between 4 people. (granted, i wasn't the cause of the group getting taxed that much, i was pretty much the bulk of the reason -yay me!)

it's been a while...

no, i'm not dead. trust me i'm not but it has been a while since i've posted something on this site. it's been busy with contracts, teaching and other misc stuff that i'd rather not get into here (read: shopping and spending way to much money). since i owe everyone a post on here, how about a small teaser and you (the audience, if theres anyone that still reads this) can decide what i post.
  • musical baton, it's been passed on to me. a few times actually but i'm pretty sure that everyone has a good idea what my horrible taste in music is.
  • renovations post, something about an update on my small renos project on my house. i've turned into the male filipino martha stewart.
  • shopping, last weekend i went shopping. spent a tonne of money that i don't have. got questioned at the border again.
  • nike shox, the shoes i will never use unless i use it for holding up my unbalanced table.
ok, there you go. all my post that are in draft form currently.
