lost in translation

i was completely lost in translation, literally. i didn't get the film. i knew there was some sort of friendship/relationship between boy and girl, but i must've fallen asleep halfway through because the film ended with me saying, "what the heck just happened?"

anyway, i need to figure out what the girl's headphones were because they were trés cool! so if anyone out there knows what brand/model they are, let me know in the comments.

update: these kinda look like them.

update so they're apparently bose's first generation quiet comfort.

irked

i've tabulated my sleep hours for this week and the total was a single digit number. that can not be good.

right now, i need coffee and i feel great! <link via="netchick">

ignorant!

do you know what irks me lately? family men/women who make it a point to look down on my priority list because it isn't the same as theirs. read: i don't spend my time building swingsets for my kids or driving them to soccer/piano/hockey practice therefore i don't have my priorities in place.

if i did have kids, or even a dependant, i would probably focus some effort into sustaining their well-being but i don't. it still isn't anyone's right to say, "it's really sad that you're focusing so much effort on working. don't you have some life?" at this very point, my life has grinded to a halt and morphed itself into one big episode of sex in the city.

i do have a life! currently, it's my career and my business while i don't see anything else looming into the forefront, i don't think it's anyone's place to say that my life is "really sad". i honestly don't care how many hellspawns you've managed to spew out. making babies is an instinct and therefore procreation is ingrained into most human beings. coding a j2ee application with asp.net developers, now that's hard and something to be proud of!

and if you didn't take notice, i just compared having children to programming. yay me!

hair obsession ... AGAIN!

damn it! i thought i was past this stage in my life. i thought i gave up on it a long time ago but here i go again: trying to grow out my hair. i'm sure readers of this blog would know about my unhealthy obsession with tom cruise and his mi-2 hair cut (emphasis on the word unhealthy). well i'm at it again.

i have the itch to grow it out. this time around i'm definitely better armed with a bunch of styling tips, more hair products and a better hairstylist sans the great clips title. it's actually coming out quite nicely and by quite nicely i mean, its not looking like a bowlcut combined with jennifer anniston's hair style.

but now that i've mentioned it here, i've officially jinxed it and its going to grow incessantly out of control leaving my hair looking like a mullet on margaret cho after a late night of parting at a gay club.
