quote of the day

ritchie's quote for the day:
its fun doing what i do. i get to learn about other company's processes and their job but most of all i like replacing people with computer code.
of course, i'm just kidding... sort of.

i gave in

a few days ago, i went to a clothes sale. a winter clothes sale to find a nice jacket that matches my snowboard and pants because currently i look like an exploded crayon box set on ecstasy when i ride down the mountain. i feel comfortable but scary to look at, but i digress.

i bought a pair of those vintage jeans. you know, the pants that you pay way too much for to make it look like you've been in style since the day you were born? the pants that look like they were your grandfather's grandfather's father's hand-me downs? yea, i bought a pair of those. i think that brings my fashion sense into the late 90's now, don't you think?

so-called friends

so where do you draw the line when people continually let you down? when do you stop counting on that person, calling them, or even saying that they're a friend?

theme songs....

so lately, my obsession music-wise has been the kill bill theme song. i have it constantly playing in my head. it's such a great theme song, especially when you think about how it could be used in making an entrance. i mean, it works for uma thurman right? why not me?

you know, just imagine, walking into a crowded room and just as you were about to take your first step into the room your theme music starts playing in the background. everyone begins a slow motion sequence. knowing me, i'd probably trip over my shoe laces, music aburptly stops and everyone will be looking at me on the floor; flat on my face.

although i think pinder has the idea with having a band follow you and just have it constantly playing in the background.

damn impulse purchases

yesterday, i was at costco to partake of some free samples and buy some groceries with cheryl. i was walking around when i saw the roomba, robotic vaccum system. you know, that saucer-like robot that circles around your room vaccuming your carpets and floor. yup, i bought it.

well, i charged it up and gave it a shot in the kitchen. its quite hypnotic watching this little vaccum do its work. i couldn't help but feel a tiny bit guilty watching it do my job when cheryl and i were standing there watching it in a trance-like awe. have to be careful tho, apparently these things have a mind of their own.
