this site was actually a big part of my life too. i got it sometime in march after boogienet. it helped me vent out some frustration, got me in trouble with a lot of people. so thanks site. I've totally accumulated readers galore from this site too. i think people like reading about the world through my eyes, or maybe my neighbor is spying on me. but yea to all of you, thanks and happy new years to you guys too!

oh yea, i guess 1 piece of advice i can offer people from my experiences this year? family and friends....keep them close to you always. this past year was very hard for me and i seriously didn't think i would make it to the end of it. but look now, its a couple of hours till the turn of the year and i'm here blogging (and alive). i wouldn't have made it through this year if it wasn't for family (mom and dad) and friends (archie, ced, paulo, jaime, john) helping me out and picking me up when i fell. no questions asked. thanks guys.

holy smokes, its almost the next year! i guess this is the final blog this year. i'm going to get ready, i just ate dinner. turkey and cake with a family friend. i'm out partying tonight. nothing really big planned, i just wanna chill with my friends. unlike last year when i was home alone. i guess this is like the life change that i'm looking for. lets hope that 2001 is better than 2000. right? right!

holy smokes! its soo quiet here at the office, theres no one! well i guess when you have to work 3 days in between christmas and new years. i just went outside to get some "fresh air" and i must've seen like 10 people leaving for the day. bonnie rocks, she said that we can bounce in 15 minutes. bonnie you rock! its our little holiday treat, i'm just gonna perform my routine checks before i go. then clean up and stuff like that. i'm totally bagged right now, i wanna get home and rest for a bit because i think the boys are thinking of hitting a club tonight. i can't believe that they wanna hit a club, after 2 weeks ago? i'm still clubbed out. but anyways, i'm going to go do my routine checks now. and this part is for dave (cause i know he checks this):
final check on the server
monitoring turned on (web04)
cellphone charged, bringing home charger
file moves done! (whew!)
ching, chang, chong!... last night i was amazed at how amused my friends and i could get with playing an old drinking game. instead of drinking shots last night, it was more a truth or dare kinda thing. which only benifited janice cause we already know everything about each other. i got home at a normal time and for some reason, i didn't struggle with my insomnia last night, just watched a little tv and moved rooms when i started falling asleep which didn't take long.
i've always hated this part of the year, its sad theres no one to celebrate with cause relatives are all the way back in the philippines. also the fact that its new years resolution time and making the resolutions list is hard. wanna see mine?

well, here i am back at work (again). i don't really hate my job, actually i love it. its just the getting up part of it that sucks. i think i'm a total insomniac. i toss and turn for about 2 good hours before i can fall asleep and thats before i hit the tv for 2 hours.
last night, i felt soo big brother and i'm not talking about the tv show. i went to a yfc "christmas" party (christmas is over already!). i drove a few friends around to buy food and stuff like that. the food was good, how can you go wrong with those little wieners and rice? but yea, lots of young people. it didn't even hit me that i was that old until one of them goes "hey! i'm getting my license on march", and i realize "shoot! i've been driving for 6 years now". well, i'm not really that old. i'm just 22 years old.

tina's website is one of the better ones out there. i've been a reader since she had her dark green layout and all that. so yea, i guess you can say that i'm a fan. she also has this kissed area of her site where she focus on stories on "first" kisses or maybe just plain old kisses, inspired by christine's behold it is a trully sweet thing! and not just because she posted my kiss story really quickly.
yes, 2 days after christmas and i am here at work. all alone too. probably 4 people in the office, count for my department? 1 person = me! yes, i am one crazy person. actually i had fun yesterday, i think i found out about the definition of mall rat. i arrived at the mall at 11am and left around 9:30pm. it was a lot of fun though, lining up because gap had the best sale. bought a lot of stuff too. see, here in canada the day after christmas is "boxing day", which means you get your butt to the mall because every store is having a sale of sorts. usually really good deals too. so thats what i was doing yesterday.
December 25, 2000
so its no officially christmas (well ok i'm 3 hours late so shoot me), and i have my usual holiday insomnia! i cannot sleep. why the heck is this happening to me? its 3 am and i was just watching soul train on fox! i didn't even know that they showed soul train at this time of night. it is too crazy!
i'm looking though my memories and i remember that auntie and i used to sneak downstairs and make some coffee and dip bread in them. just cause we couldn't fall asleep and we weren't allowed to drink coffee. so what did i do tonight in honor of the memory? i went upstairs, turned on the coffee maker and made some french vanilla decaf. ok so its not quite the same. its the thought that counts isn't it? auntie, where every you are... this is for you.

its been a week since i've shaved. cedric told me last night that i looked like wolverine! this is the longest that i haven't shaved. i think i'm starting to get chaps, now all i need is the adamantium skeleton and a mutant ability to heal quickly then i'm set.
since yesterday, i haven't slept. i am going 48 hours with 1 hour of sleep. actually, i've gotten more i'm sure because i've been taking the bus because my car has been in the shop (something about the ignition switch). i fall asleep on the transit on my way to work. its actually not that bad anymore. i guess all the crazy experiences have been preparing me for this week. now i can fall asleep on any weather, temparature and annoying people who sit beside me.
i just went in dropped my bus ticket, got my transfer, found a seat, closed my eyes and slept. when i opened my eyes, i was at my stop. i skytrain it to the seabus station, i walk normal pace and still make it ontime for the seabus even with only a couple of seconds left. i sit in the seabus, and what happens? i fall asleep only to wake up right at the end. it all just happened like clockwork.
man! i can fall asleep in the middle of a nuclear holocaust!

so last night? where did i go? well, i went clubbing (again!) and stayed up the usual lateness. only this time i was a bit smarter about it, i took a shower before i went to sleep (3am), just so i have a little more sleeping time on my bed.
but the club was pretty good, i find that i've been paying more attention to how the music is played and how its mixed together. it was fun, i think the other boys were tired too. archie and john didn't dance, probably once the whole night. gerard, the girls and i were dancing and playing around. Sylvia arrived, we danced some more. Still dancing, listening to music and a little bit of drinking. Randy and his friends came, we danced again. No more drinking this time.
until it was around 2:00 am, then we left and went home. the girls and i ate, eventually fell asleep in our respective beds.
it was really fun last night, all i can say is thank god for bus rides. sleeping in a bus is soo easy for me.

today, frank compared me to adsl. some thing about me being in a block radius and booking a month in advance for me. i dunno if i should be insulted or what.
you know what i hate? i hate it when people stand over your desk just waiting to talk to you. when they just hover, hoping that you'd "feel" their presence and turn around. they won't say a word just hover. i hate it even more when they do this when your on the phone, or while your obviously in deep thought.
another thing i hate are super super loud people. just loud enough for their voices to be heard in the next freaking galaxy!
damn it! i guess i am in a bad bad bad mood

pissed off? yes i am. i dunno why? a lot of people read this log. i just don't think this is the right place to vent it out right now.
look redesign!

i was actually planning on taking the bus today. i thought it might be easier on me if i took the bus on my way in from work. did it eventually happen? nope, see i've had battles with my snooze alarm for a while now.
last night we went to hot shots played some time crisis 2 and pool. basically i got home at around 2:00 am, made some packed lunch for today and lied around in bed for another half hour before i actually fell asleep. three and a half hours later the alarm went off and off my sleepy butt goes to get ready for work. tell you the truth, i don't really know how i made it into work, its all quite a blur.
mcdonalds is my vice. i checked my account and saw the money, i ran downstairs to get me a number 2 meal supersized mainly because of the huge cup of coffee. i know the two "dalagas" are going to be reading this later. so if you guys are reading this, its the remote with the big green button on the top right corner. press the "tv" button and aim it at everything. (and you guys won't be able to delete those pictures cause i have the digital camera right here)

hey look for all you super generous people with an insane amount of credit. wanna buy me something? yes, i've jumped on the wishlist wagon and i've also realized somethings. one (1) i'm not that expensive to buy a gift for. two (2) i really have bad taste in movies. anyone have any good recommended books out there? i'm looking for something to read.
December 18, 2000
hey look ms heather champ posted up my other mirror picture.
i had this huge entry to put up but i never got around to put it up yesterday. so i'll just tell you about it today.
yesterday was "lazy" day, "busy" night pretty much. during the day, we spent the time lounging around watching dvd's, eating and talking. just a nice lazy day with the girls. at night however was completly different. after heading down to gerard's house so he can change, we ate at wendys and called people up. we talked, a good talk...(and hopefully the info stays at that wendy's table) eventually though, we started making our way to cheers (nightclub) for F.U.B.A.R. which (officially) stood for Friends United Beyond All Races. we got there around 9, waited, listened to music, drooled, danced, laughed and all that sorta stuff. jaime came, silvia eventually got there too, a lot of other people that i haven't seen in a while (i can't believe these guys still hit the clubs) and then cedric and john followed after.
so normal club scene, people are dancing (bouncing) to the music. some people are on stage, girl shows her thong off on stage, all the guys basically drool and the girls just look away. dance some more, drink a bit, smoke. dance with silvia, laugh, joke around and stretch legs cause they're sore from bouncing around. so i look at my watch and its around 1 am already. no problem, i'm still wide awake so carry on.
after the club we decide to meet up with archie at boston pizza, where he was with the sfc'ers. saw old friends, watched jen get "interviewed" by john's sister, talked some more and exchanged new phone numbers. victor ended up driving us (the girls and myself) home (thanks man, i think you freaked them out though). so basically i got home around 2:30 am. said good night to my "temporary" roommates and sleep.
so where am i right now? its around 8am and i'm at work (very grumpy, i think i'm getting infected by mel). yes! i am a crazy guy. i woke up at 6, dragged my sleepy butt into the shower (extra-cold), and survive the drive to work. sleep is a good thing really.

jen and mel are here! whoohoo, we picked them up from the airport and i saw bonnie (she was picking up her brother) there too. dave was apparently there too but i didn't get to see him. we've already gone to kisha popo. uugh no japanese restaurants for the rest of their trip (well, maybe richmond sushi).
their staying with me, so expect a lot of embarrasing pictures to come (shhhh they don't know that yet)!
their staying with me, so expect a lot of embarrasing pictures to come (shhhh they don't know that yet)!
so i guess you all want to know what happened last night? wondering why i didn't blog or something like that, or why i wasn't on icq, aim or msn messenger. well, i was stranded.
i went to my office "appreciation" party last night. it was fun, everyone was cracking jokes at each other and basically having fun. some drank, and other stood there watching the other people get drunk (with one beer). eventually it was time to home (and why not, with $15 burritos its straight to the washroom for me), i needed to look for my friends cause they were at some concert.
so i'm driving around, and i call cedric, then i call jaime. we meet up to pick up paulo at his christmas party in north vancouver. so i meet up with them in vancouver somewhere and we take jaime's car because my car is a bit scary on the highway and paulo's car (ced was driving it) is terrible in the snow. so we make our way following the map that paulo made up to his party place. this map eventually takes us all around north vancouver. of course, there were about 10 near fatal accidents that we almost get into, but we continue saying to ourselves that paulo is paying for dinner after the whole ordeal. eventually picking up paulo (drunk?) and making our way back but because of the road conditions we decide that we should crash at the nearest place that we could crash. that was john's house.
so after passing by to get some food, watching paulo slip in a mini snowball fight, losing and finding my pager and laughing as jaime freaks out cause paulo is trying to pull the emergency break which would send us in to spirals in a parking lot full of cars. it was fun, but we make our way to john's house and get to bed. i fell asleep right away, i was tired.
yes, i know vancouver peoples are really wussies when it comes to snow.

the trailer for this movie is just soo amazing. i haven't heard anything bad from anyone who has seen the movie. i really really really want to go see it. tell you the truth, having subtitles on the movies isn't bad. i prefer them better than dubbing voices. there can be soo many troubles with having dubbed voices, the movie itself can lose integrity if the person doing the voice over is bad at it. for one, the emotion might not be done correctly. at least reading the subtitles, you can still hear the original actor portray the emotion the way he wanted to do it.
uugh back at work. christmas dinner with my department tonight. going to john's house after work, play some dreamcast games. still a bit weird, i don't think the nyquil is completely out of my system yet.
so guess who got his car yesterday? me! its very cool to be driving again, but what the heck am i going to blog about now? no more bus stories to tell. i might just go and just take the bus because of nostalgia's sake (NOT!). so i got my car after a hard day at canadian tire, and running back from there and back home. i was also supposed to finish a whole buncha stuff for tomorrow, but see the thing is. i don't have any money. i think i'll start to juggle balls on the street corner to survive until thursday! damn car! seriously, i was ready to give my car a great big hug when i saw it with its new insurance sticker yesterday (ok, maybe i did).
after jen and mel leave next week, the car is going to be in its merry way to the body shop. then it'll be worthy to actually take a picture of again. hopefully all the dents will be gone, the car will be clean and everyone will be happy.
i'm sorry for the really weak entry, its really the nyquil. (hey! if ernie can use the nyquil excuse i can too!)

ok another link from vic... i don't know how he finds these.... o-town, 2ge+ther and now ....... this. vic man, where the heck do you find these....i'm down! 19-23? i fit that, i'm only 22......
victor told me about this adcritic link. i've never seen a bear do some kung-fu. this is soo funny! of course the cheap shot always wins.
uugh, i hate staying at home. i'd rather do something more productive than just sitting at home cleaning up my computer. i feel terrible though, i can't even stand up. i swear the medication must be taking control of me. why? well, one because i have no idea to blog about. two, i don't normally feel "artistic". three, the photoshop skills are very limited and this creating that i just made looks pretty funky. four, i'm actually posting it up on my site. uughh, pass the nyquil.

yup still at home pretty much dying here..... today onto the stronger stuff...... antibiotics.......
December 13, 2000
so yea, guess who's back over dosing on dayquill and neocitran. uugh, this commuting is gonna kill me. yesterday, i was waiting for the bus for at least an hour and a half in the freezing weather. when i did get on the bus, the only seat was at the back and i struggled the whole trip to not throw-up on the person infront of me. see i get motion sick really easily, it sucks. but yea, i think i'm gonna get my car fixed soon cause i need to find a better solution to this whole commuting by bus thing.
December 12, 2000
so you guys all know how i feel about taking the bus, which is why i'm wondering why i'm still up at this time of night. but its always nice to get another perspective on things isn't it? And just incase y'all didn't know about it, icemag.org is a webzine writing about anything (cause we need the hard-drive space).
wow i was surfing the usual blogs that i'm used to reading, then i come across a blog that i haven't seen in a while. i'd just want to congratulate her on getting a boyfriend, not that she couldn't get one before. i'm sure she could've....uuhhh oh no.... i just dug myself into a hole. i'm just joking ms kitty :)
my co-worker came into work today and he just got back from new orleans. he was there for some conference and it sounds like he had a great time. all these stories about women lifting their shirts (/flashing people) for beads, drinking 24/7, parades like crazy and all these things happening after and during the conference. this is the reason i want to travel, i want stories to tell people. pictures to show them of my little adventures.
on a totally other note, i might be in las vegas when ms erna is there.
on a totally other note, i might be in las vegas when ms erna is there.
this weekend i went on a little christmas shopping spree. got myself a pager, a few clothes and finished my christmas shopping. aren't you guys so proud of me? i'm keeping myself busy with my hectic work and leisure time schedule. hopefully i'll have the car up and running this week. aren't you soo proud of me? and it only took me a whole month to get it to the state its in right now. i'm very amazed at how long its been taking, i seriously thought this was gonna be a 5 minute thing but i guess someone else had other plans. ended up taking a few months.
on another note, mel and jen are arriving saturday already. i'm excited, their room is officially finished. the rest of the basement is another story. well actually its pretty good still. just need another coat of paint on the hallways and tile the kitchen. of course, the clean up then we're actually finished.
i guess a lot of things are gonna get taken care of before the year rolls by.

re·lapse (r-lps) v. intr. re·lapsed, re·laps·ing, re·laps·es. to fall or slide back into a former state.
so everyone prolly wants to know how my weekend was. my little dj'ing experience, my poor car, and of course my overall experience during the weekend.
well, my little dj'ing gig happened on friday night. aside from having a broken amplifier and having to rent one at the last minute, and having to send paulo to download some songs for the performance, it went pretty well. everyone was dancing, not a lot of people though. i expected more. amazingly enough we only messed up once. the dance went really well.
thanks to everyone who helped set up and all the parents who supported us.

in about an hour and a half i have to start moving my butt. i have to start setting up soon, but my cables don't arrive until 5 and i'll probably get there at 4. andrew bought me some mini dv's for the digital video and i have my computer there so pictures galore. i'm hopeing to have a streaming version of the documentary that i'm making about this dj'ing experience sometime this weekend.
tomorrow, is car day again. i'm planning on getting it inspected and if the timing is correct then get insurance as well. hopefully i'll have money left over to get some gas. oohh that would suck. having the car insured but having no money to pay for gas because i already spent everything to get the car to drivable state. ironic no? well, lets just hope that i don't make it to that point.

ernie, i'm going to bring this for sxsw, just for you man. cause you know i missed your b-day and i'm having my b-day there too soo we gotta celebrate.
my friends have this vendetta against me. why? well, i've gotten them really really drunk on their birthdays. i must've spent a good 100 dollars to make their birthdays memorable for me and less memorable for them (cause they don't remember parts of the night). so now, i'm quickly accumulating my "people who wants me to get my stomach pumped on my birthday" list of people. i'm a bit scared to be here on my birthday because by that time a number of my friends' birthdays have passed and i would've done the same to them too. so that means more people wanting to see my head hanging over a toilet. uugh, i guess i'm going to be over hedges on my b-day because i'm sure ern and the sb2 people will make sure of it.
but ern, hey man.... if i go down, i'm taking you down with me. hehehe *evil laugh*

so i got an early start this morning, i woke up a nice and early 5am to pack up my computer and attempt to get to work at 7. i haven't done it in a while and it took a bt of effort, in the process i forgot a lot of things (my mp3 cd, my baon (packed lunch) and a whole buncha other stuff that i usually carry around with me. so i got into work at 10 minutes before 7am, got my parking pass and stuff like that, made sure that the car is locked because my computer is in there.
as everyone knows, the dance is tonight. i've downloaded all the mp3s that i need. i hope. the team will be helping me out too. they actually picked the music to download last night (minus gerard since he's lazy and slept). so why were they helping me out? well, i have a taste for slow jams and country, my taste in rap isn't as up to date as i'd like it to be. as far as rap music goes, i still listen to some fresh prince when he was still rapping about jazzy jeff.
wish me luck, cause tonight i make my debut!

whoohoo! exam is finished! yea, now i'm just at home scrambling to convert and download some funky mp3's for tomorrow. The team is coming over to help out and set up the computer. i'm looking through billboard, muchmusic and even jerwin's cheezy top 20 for some songs to play. hopefully we won't bomb too bad. i wonder if teenagers today like dixie chicks! hehehe kidding! but seriously, this whole excercise has gotten me thinking that i'm not too into date with the music thats "cool" today. i liked rap music growing up is that still cool or is it that rave stuff? am i really getting that old? i'll be sitting on my hovering rocking chair and listening to my rap music while my kid will be dancing to some rave beat going 300 beats a second. hummm wonder if that'll ever happen.
well, i'm sure if i'm blogging at that time i'm going to link this post.
well, i'm sure if i'm blogging at that time i'm going to link this post.
holy smakers! i've never realized how much money some people make. i would never spend this much money on a palm case, well i don't have a palm v anyways. mine is only a iii.
<link src="Zannah">
and the last straight away during crunch time is here. today is the final exam of my internet class. the class that has given me the worst headaches and the most nauseous feeling in the world. tomorrow is the dance, i'm still working on trying to get internet connection and maybe we can stream a webcam through the net.
but the task at hand is the final. its an open book exam so i'm a bit more worried about it because these tend to be harder than a normal one. so i also took a half day off as well. i'm going to bcit and study a few hours before my exam just to recap. i'm a little bit worried anyways but not as much as before, i used to lose sleep over it and with the workout regiment going on it was a bit hard.
tomorrow is going to be a challenge. i somehow have to make it to work by 7 so i could get off at 3 and start preparing. andrew is picking up my equiptment tonight. archie is coming over to prepare as well. i'm not sure if i'll be blogging much today since i drove to work and i didn't get any weird bus experience and i'm leaving early from work.

so i had a little bit of help. i asked victor to help me out with the graphic since i can't work photoshop to save my life. i'm also lacking in the design area so i took an idea from gerard cause he's just too cool when he comes up with designs of his page.
so i've been redesigning bit by bit. a few weeks back i've tackled the journal. yesterday, i took the about page and today the moments page has a new "face" to it. i've been tired with the way this sites been looking, hoping for a redesign for a while now. next would probably be this page. i know i redesign slowly and in chunks.... sue me :) in other news, i'm headed to sxsw. but you all know that already. i was looking at the other websites and seeing how much fun they all had there. hopefully it'll be a blast. i'm sharing a room with mj, ern and kevin. plus, i'm celebrating my b-day there too (march 11 mark it down on your calendars)! so yea, i've been totally focused on getting things done because sometimes you just gotta focus on something and go for it. to keep your mind of things (right vic?).
i went to the mall with victor. looked at a couple of gap stuff. walked around saw a bunch of old friends from waay back when. it was cool, i used to mall rat in that particular mall with my highschool buddies. amazing how many years later i'm still there... mall ratting.

so how was my bus ride today, you ask? well, it was trully an experience like no other (and i seem to have a lot of "experiences" on the bus).
archie and i went for our run today at 5 am. it was a good run, very satisfying. i gotta give it to archie for putting up with me though. my legs were hurting after a while and every couple of paces i'd want to stop and walk for a bit. but eventually, we make it back to my house. archie heads home to get ready for work, and i rest for a bit and start my morning routine. all the while i'm mumbling to myself "all i have to do is make it to the bus, then i can get some sleep".
so i make it early to the bus stop and get on the bus. funny thing about these busses, sometimes you just can't see which bus it is. so i assume its the bus that ends halfway (which means i have to get off and find another bus that will take me to my destination). really, its the earlier time of my normal bus (since i've never actually been that early to the bus stop this was a first time for me). so i get to the halfway point, i get off, i look at the front of the bus and it says "403 Vancouver" in a little dinky sign just as i was contemplating of going back in. the freaking bus takes off! So there i was already cold, waiting for the next bus.
the next bus happens to be packed, and there was only only a few seats left so i take a seat and begin my dosing off. a few minutes later this foot comes flying (quite unexpectedly) towards my leg. it hits my leg with enough force to jolt my bag and wake me up. so i was like "what the heck is going on here?" i mean i don't think its common practice to kick fellow passengers. i look up and theres this lady about mid 20's sleeping all curled up (talking in her sleep too) in her seat. i guess she's having one of those cat/dog dreams where you start kicking the people around you. so let it go.
i don't think i've ever had a normal bus experience.

the redesign is slowly taking place amidst this stressful week (thank god for procrastination). but i've been meaning to update some pages and this is the first. my about page is basically about my site(s) and myself. i thought it was funny. but if you could see a trend with my redesigns, i'm actually moving out of the framed thing that my first instincts told me to make for this site.
i haven't updated my journal in a while but that's because i haven't had any thoughts that i wanted to share. not because i'm this selfish scrooge and a journal update doesn't bother him one bit actually its quite the opposite. i do want to write something, and the journal (non-)update is bugging me. but i'm promising you, my next journal update will be soo profound and soo cool that you guys will be talking about it for quite a while. promise!

i swear school is going to be the death of my. damn context-diagrams, collaboration-diagrams and event-lists. they will be what the coroner fills in on my autopsy. i'm worried about my one and only final on thursday. why? well, its been a while since i've written a final. its been about a year and bit. this whole getting into the groove thing is hard too. i've been struggling ever since i started. if it was anything but an internet class i would probably be in a better position but no... internet class = your own hours of studying = 0 hours of studying and doing homework. well i exaggerate, i did work hard on it, i just don't feel like i've worked hard enough on it and thats not a good feeling.
so i think i've chosen the wrong week to start my healthy new lifestyle. with all the annoyances that comes with school and the added annoyances of waking up at 4 to jog i don't think i'll survive this week. a few last minute assignments due, an exam to study for and a dance to dj.
whiny? yea.... do i care? no!

as for b4-4, well i kinda like 1 of their songs... i think its called endlessly. but as them looking like ken-doll freaks well.....i think they look pretty weird. one of them got a messed up nose and they all have messed up hair cuts that look like the late 80's spiky hair with attitude.
erna...don't forget bantu.
erna...don't forget bantu.
so last night apart from struggling to do homework and other various things i was also talking to mj and ern-dawg about sxsw. so yea talking to mj yesterday about the whole trip and she estimates 865 $ and thats american dollars. I have to spend around 1200$ canadian dollars (damn you american to canadian exchange). i guess all my friends are getting blue mountain cards for christmas (oh you think i'm kidding?).
but who cares, i'm ok with that. i think i make enough to cover my butt for this trip. i just wanna ride my little bronco bull and get a picture on it. of course, get ern drunk since i missed his b-day. but for 1200 something dollars i will have fun.

so you think the earlier bus can get you home faster and warmer? think again before hopping on to that bus.
it was soo cold, but i had my new jacket to keep me warm. my legs still hurt though from all the running/walking that i did this morning. so i'm tired, my eyes can be declared legally blind from staring a the computer screen all day and my legs have the consistency of jello pudding (i just need bill cosby in the background).
so heres the situation, there are basically 2 busses that i can take to get home. one is the express and the other is the regular bus. i get off the seabus, and i walk this small uphill climb to my bus stop. i get there, and the express bus has already passed. now, heres the dilemma take the other busses which would require me to transfer busses 3 times to get home. wait for the next express bus which would make me freeze my ass to death for 30 minutes or i could take the regular bus which was turning the corner. of course, logic dictates that by taking the regular bus you would get to your place at the same time because it did arrive 15 minutes earlier and you don't have to freeze your buns off.
so it was a no brainer, i get on the regular bus. so i find my seat, usually beside the door near the heater. still cold, why? well the heaters were broken, and for some reason it felt like it was colder inside than outside. so no problem, i just got a new jacket, plus a sweater and the combined body heat of all the dang passengers of the bus... that would be all 3 of us. i dose off like i normally do.
ok so 30 minutes later, i wake up. i'm back in my little suburb called richmond. i'm happy, i dose off again. i wake up, i'm still sitting at the same spot....i dose off and don't mind it....i wake up.... i could've sworn that we've been infront of the same starbucks for 15 minutes..... i look at my watch......and i confirm that it hasn't been 15 minutes.... its been 30. i blame the construction..... i dose off again..... 15 minutes later..... we've moved a total of 1 1/2 blocks..... so to make a looong (and trust me it is long) story short..... i got home 45 minutes later than the express bus (which would've totally bipassed that route). so i could've waited 15 minutes longer to wait for the express and i would've been home 45 minutes earlier than taking the regular bus.
does that make sense? i know i know... ritchie stop whining already about the bus.

so why am i planning to take all these trips? well, i need to get away from vancouver. i mean, this is the most interesting place, people are polite blah blah blah *start cheers theme song here* but see its getting boring, what do you do when you've been to all the go-kart places, the lazer tag places, the paintball places and most of the bowling areas.
its not that i'm starting to hate it here, i love it here. i like downtown, i'd like to live there someday. people are soo nice, just walk up and start talking to one, guaranteed that they won't give you that "get away from me, you're from a mental institute" look. the prices for anything are semi-cheap. we're right close to whistler (and i got my snowboard this weekend). its just a beautiful place to live. so why leave?
i guess, its because i need to see other places. there's soo many places in the world that i haven't seen yet. i want to see them all. like for example, paris. paris is such a beautiful city (at least in the travel brochures). i want to sit on the corner shop, eat (soy-)cheese and drink wine. i want to climb the eifel (spelling?) tower and do the titanic "flying" pose right no the top! my next trip is probably going to head down to oregon. my friends and i are heading down there just before the year ends. it'll be interesting. see, every filipino family here in vancouver have made the "pilgrimage" to the oregon grotto. its like a must for filipino families. i don't quite understand why but every family album that i've seen usually has that picture with the family right infront of the grotto. but i digress.
so i'm heading down to austin texas. wonder who i'll see in the conference? ern-dawg, kevin and mj are heading down with me. i wonder how we'll meet up. i'm soo excited about this conference too. it'll be an interesting site to see all these people, listening to key-speakers and stuff like that. i'm there to ride that mechanical bull at a pub. seriously!
and erna, you better be ready. i'm planning to head down there after. (just gotta find some microsoft conference there)

so last friday and today... archie and i worked out. how? you may ask. well, we've been waking up at awful hours just to go for a run. on friday, it was his house right around the block. today, it was my area. so how early does ritchie have to wake up just to make it to the bus at 6:30 am, plus getting ready time and the morning workout? well that means that archie and i have to start our run at 5, which means that waking up at 4:30 and wearing all your gear because its cold in the morning.
so anyways, this whole week is stress week for me. i have a few assignments due, a final, a final project and a dance that i have to prepare dj'ing for (lets hope none of the yfc'ers are reading this.....really...i am prepared). plus, i've dedicated this week to living healthy! i packed my own lunch and i've started my workout routine. all in the name of wearing a tank-top in the summer.
i know i'm really pathetic.

December 3, 2000
its sunday already? shoot damn it! why oh why did i not get anything done this weekend?
well, let me answer this question really quickly. yesterday, i wasted my day getting my car "road-worthy" with the help of ryan, archie and mary of course (thanks guys couldn't have been done without you). we started at around 9 am in the morning getting ready, i had a optometrist appointment (to declare me legally blind) so i asked archie to meet ryan (and mary) here at the house. they were going to switch my (very low) h&r springs with funky adjustable ones (coil overs). i came home about an hour and a half later. they've already taken out the front springs and were putting then new coil-overs on. 30 minutes later they were done, take to mind that this is all done with ryan's brute strenght and no power tools.
we then moved to the back side of the car. we hoisted it up and started work. and what do you know, the bolts won't even budge, even with a healthy dose of wd-40. so i order pizza and we wait for a bit for the wd-40 to work its magic. eventually ryan was able to take out the bolt on one end, and proceeded to take out the other one.
so turn grunt turn grunt..... snap! i was like "that can't be a good sound when you're moving metal to metal and hear a plastic sounding snap. so ryan keeps turning, and looks on the other end of the bolt, its not turning. i guess it just broke inside. so ok, he said "well take the other 2 bolts out and bring the shock to a shop and we can just get it removed.... no problem. so we turn to the second bolt. turn turn turn, grunt....... snap! ok now we're messed up. we can't take the shock to the shop (say that 10 times fast) even if we wanted to, we couldn't drive it (thank you very much rcmp) and there was no way we could put the car down from the jack because it migh break the arm that the weight of the car is resting on. what a sweet situation!!!!
so we call bcaa (thanks archie) and decide to get it towed to midas. so we wait wait wait eat eat eat.... then the tow-truck comes and i mean TRUCK! its this huge honking thing thats used to tow these cars that really can't drive. ok first of all thats not going to work, we needed something smaller something that could actually fit through the drive way. so we send the dude home and ask for another truck. so wait wait eat, jet grind radio, eat. eventually it made it and we're on our way to midas.
so hanging around at midas, and ryan's talking to the people to explain the situation (good thing they didn't laugh at us) but yea, basically to save a couple of dollars we decide to pick up the parts at the honda dealership. so we drive in archie's car and get the stuff, have a few laughs along the way and make our way back. where we wait for the car to get done and "transport" it back to the house.
ryan switches the 1 last tire and replaces my steering wheel for me and we go and celebrate at hon's. jaime and paulo meet up we eat 3 dishes of scrambled egg and beef on rice (its really not as bad as it sounds). archie leaves for his meeting, i go with jaime and paulo. ryan and mary go home to work on ryan's car (crazy guy, it was already like 7 pm by this time).
so archie agrees to pick me up after the meeting, and i'm thinking ok around 11-12 and i'll be home early and sleeping in my bed. i get a movie with paulo and jaime. jaime goes home to get the snowboard that he's going to lend me. i try it on .... fits fine. we watch the movie eventually fall asleep, (this is where it kinda gets a little bit blurry) wake up at 1 call archie .... still practicing..... wake up at 2 ..... archie outside to pick me up..... look around jaime isn't there anymore...... go with archie.... borrow mi-2 from benji and bring snowboard gear with me..... get home watch mi-2 .... sleep at 4am.
and here i am, woke up at 9 today helping out my dad with the renovations, do my laundry, clean my area of the house, switch shower curtains, have to head to the mall, finish homework, but some picture frame hanging stuff and go get the tag taken out the jacket that i bought so people don't think i'm a thief (long story don't ask).
well, let me answer this question really quickly. yesterday, i wasted my day getting my car "road-worthy" with the help of ryan, archie and mary of course (thanks guys couldn't have been done without you). we started at around 9 am in the morning getting ready, i had a optometrist appointment (to declare me legally blind) so i asked archie to meet ryan (and mary) here at the house. they were going to switch my (very low) h&r springs with funky adjustable ones (coil overs). i came home about an hour and a half later. they've already taken out the front springs and were putting then new coil-overs on.
