If I had a super power…

I’ve been trying to get into the habit of writing and since I’m procrastinating I decided to head over to Darren’s list and pick a random topic. This was the one that my finger landed on.

To be completely nerdy about it, I decided that this would be an exercise in research and analysis. I went to wikipedia to see a list of super powers that were available (assuming that it was some sort of menu that I could choose from). I suppose its also good that they also list the super hero that the power was associated with. I wouldn’t want to associate myself with super heroes called “Star boy” and “Harry Leland” (Mass manipulation).

I also decided that I wanted it to be a cool power that people can see. For example, I want my hands to glow before I punched through a wall as opposed to being able to click and find objects like a bat or praying to god that dice fall a certain way. Unfortunately this ruled out the Zack Morris: Time out which could’ve been cool to have but people can’t see or remember it. Oh well, my ego got in the way I suppose.

The source of my powers shouldn’t be something that someone can remove like rings because that’s lame. Take the ring off and you’re pretty much dead. I also don’t think that my power should deform me (like blue fur or changing hair color in the middle of the battle). I still want to function as a somewhat normal member of society when I’m not superhero’ing around. I’m also not a big fan of pain and I’m also scared of spiders, snakes etc. (especially the radioactive types) so acquiring these powers should be somewhat painless and doesn’t involve creepy crawlies.

So after much deliberation my pick for a super power would be the ability to eat anything I want! I’d eat all the spam and sushi in the world! nom om om!

to be an edible superhero he will have to ingest superhero food

I've never been good at writing about me/site pages. It seems too much like self-promotion and being the stereotypical passive-agressive asian; I would rather walk around a crowd and into a train rather than interact with a bunch of people. I'm shy that way, which also contradicts this website that talks about me and my life. My friends and family would care to disagree though, since they've seen my crazy & loud side. More »
