Holidays.. bah humbug.

It isn’t a big surprise that I’m the only one of my buddies that doesn’t get along with this time of year. My buddy (and best-man) Archie has already had his lights/tree/musical santa/fake snow up and running since late November. Cheryl managed to convince me to put up a tree (which in itself is a big accomplishment in this household). Offices are having their holiday party and people are doing the whole gift exchange thing. I have friends who are traveling to spend it with their families.

I am not doing any of these. I am staying in and parking my butt by the TV or the computer, headphones on and contemplating how next year is going to go.

The Iphone is cool, but…

Ok, so let me get this out of the way: I bought an IPhone last weekend. Yes I did get the one with the 4.6 bootloader and the 1.1.2 firmware (which can’t be unlocked the conventional means), and yes I did bust it out using the TurboSIM. I used the instructions from the forums to unlock it. It took about 3 hours to download all the needed files, cut the stuff that needs cutting and go through the actual install.

It works really well, and I love it. I don’t have to carry a man-purse to lug around a thick phone, my nokia tablet and my mp3 player. It is now all consolidated into 1 device, the IPhone.

But enough IPhone hype, now I want that Pleo Dinosaur. It’s so damn cute, and since they stopped making the AIBO; I’m setting my sights on that cute rubbery dinosaur. I wonder how Java will react to a dinosaur in the house. I want!! It’s too bad that the kris kringle this year is only $25 and not $350.
