Retail therapy (read: stress relief)

Whenever I feel a bit crazy (trust me, the moment arrives more times than I care to admit) I try to find ways to release some steam. I used to turn to work; bury myself in a lengthy barrage of projects and hope that stress finds its way out and away from my life.

So what happens when work is the one that is causing you stress and grief? Well, I take a few days off here and there to do some retail therapy (read: shopping). I hate to admit it, but I heart shopping. Not just any kind of shopping either, I love clothes shopping (t-shirts, pants, dress wear, watches… etc). Yesterday, I spent the whole day traversing the malls and outlets down south. I’m also in the process discovering that an empty wallet is a good nesting ground for flys and moths (read: going broke).

Does anyone have any suggestions on any therapy activities out there? Something that won’t make me broke?

shopping is definitely therapeutic. but then, what is the cure for shopaholism? ha! it’s a vicious cycle.

I've never been good at writing about me/site pages. It seems too much like self-promotion and being the stereotypical passive-agressive asian; I would rather walk around a crowd and into a train rather than interact with a bunch of people. I'm shy that way, which also contradicts this website that talks about me and my life. My friends and family would care to disagree though, since they've seen my crazy & loud side. More »
